Little Problem

The other day in math class, this little guy came up. For a SIMUW graduate, this should be easy.

C * C = F F + C = A F * C = C
B - F = D B * B = D B + C = D
E ^ E = E

Hint: All six letters stand for different values.

P.S. It looks cooler with alpha, beta, gamma, etc., but I don't know how to type them reliably.

they are not integers,
r they? (other wise the problem is quite easy :D)

Why, do you think you have a solution?

no, i didn't think on it, becuase you never specified if the numbers are integers or not...
r they?

everything is 0! except for E, which is 1.

otherwise B and D are not integers:

F = 1

B - 1 = D

B^2 = B - 1

I think.

and yet your hint was that they all are for diffrent values

although one can easily reach a contradiction, assuming that they all stand for different values, by the first, third and last conditions

It's fairly easy to prove all of them equal to 0 except E, or all of them equal to 1 save one, but that's not an answer.
