SIMUW and USAMO

the list of qualifiers for 2006 USAMO (United States of America Mathematcial Olympiad) is up, in case you haven't seen it its here:
http://www.unl.edu/amc/e-exams/e8-usamo/e8-1-usamoarchive/2006-ua/06usamoqualstate.html#wa

there were 3 qualifiers from last year's SIMUW, and an interesting point about this is that none of us three had qualified last year.

i think SIMUW staff should defenately use this to advertise in schools, and because of high demand for qualification i think it can be a very strong point about SIMUW.

again congrats to all who qualified, and good luck to those who will be taking these stuff next year.

AIME

Just out of curiosity, who else took the AIME? I think it'd be cool to know how much people improved their AIME scores because I know that both Amir and I improved our scores a lot since last year.

Little Problem

The other day in math class, this little guy came up. For a SIMUW graduate, this should be easy.

---

C * C = F F + C = A F * C = C
B - F = D B * B = D B + C = D
E ^ E = E

Solve.

Hint: All six letters stand for different values.

P.S. It looks cooler with alpha, beta, gamma, etc., but I don't know how to type them reliably.
